Putra Business School (PBS) at the University of Putra Malaysia is the university's independent business school and one of its flagship institutions. It is the first business school in Malaysia to receive AACSB accreditation and the first to receive EQUIS accreditation. PBS is Malaysia's first world-class business school, excelling in both teaching quality and internationalization.

Currently, the Putra Business School offers 13 degree programs, including 8 master's degree programs, 1 postgraduate diploma program, and 4 PhD programs. The motivation behind the establishment of the school was to educate and train more outstanding government and state-owned enterprise leaders in Malaysia to drive the country's development.

The local MBA students at the Putra Business School primarily come from Malaysian government departments and state-owned enterprises. For example, they include students from the Malaysian Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (Malaysia's national electricity company), and Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas, Malaysia's national oil company). Over the years, the Putra Business School has also produced many excellent alumni who have gone on to work with international organizations such as the United Nations, the International Monetary Fund, and the World Health Organization.
